Believe it or not, finding the "right" or best gun holster for your needs can be a challenge. I know to the average person, it sounds kind of like buying tires for your car. I mean any tire will do, right? If you have made the choice to carry a handgun for self defense, as part of your job, or for recreational uses, you're probably going to need a holster at some point.
So what makes it so difficult to get the "best" one the first time?
#1 - For starters, there are thousands of different gun holster models being offered today. There are choices to be made in the material that the holster is made of, the type of holster, color, features, belt size, etc.
#2 - As different people will have different needs for a holster, there is no uniform definition of what makes a good or great holster. As ratings like good, great, and awesome for holsters are totally subjective, the opinion of others only goes so far.
#3 - Without actually buying a holster, there are very opportunities to "test" a holster out to see if it's right now you.
Because of these situations, most people end up buying a holster as a test of sorts and then making a decision if it's a keeper or not.
Part of my goal here is to provide good quality information about holsters so that you can hopefully make informed buying decisions. I'll do my best to provide honest, unbiased information based on my own personal opinion.
